Commitment to continuous improvement
AMSPAC has an ongoing policy to work with manufacturers to research and identify improved manufacturing processes and to seek new and more environmentally friendly methods of manufacturing bags and boxes. Recognition of compliance with relevant environmental legislation as a minimum level of performance
It is our duty to ensure compliance wherever possible with the prevailing environmental legislation of the country of manufacture. Where relevant, we will ensure that our manufacturers in those countries where insufficient legislation prevails, work to an ethical and moral standard to a standard suitable and acceptable to our customers. Where possible we have inspected our partner factories and audited their operations to ensure they comply with all local and worldwide ethically correct hygiene standards and minimum age requirements for the employment of workers. All workers conditions have to comply with a minimum standard as laid down by this company.
Recycling of packaging materials
We actively promote to our customers the importance of recycling of all packaging products that we supply. Where possible we promote the use of degradable and recycled products and the reusability of our bags and boxes.
Minimising the use of solvents and lead-based paints
Where possible we use water based inks on each substrate.
Use of timber from sustainable (managed) forests.
All paper products supplied by AMSPAC are manufactured using FSC accredited paper from sustainable sources.
Transport
Our policy is to adopt or promote an environmentally sound transport strategy whereby we reduce to a minimum our use of environmentally damaging methods of transport and to actively promote the use of the most efficient transport resources to move goods to our customers and supplies for our manufacturers.
